ERRATA FOR THE 2022 EDITION

 Ports and Passes is part of the Fine Edge Publishing group, which includes Fine Edge Nautical Publications and the Waggoner Cruising Guide. We take great pains to make sure that information contained in Ports and Passes is as accurate as possible. But occasionally we miss something or have news of interest about Ports and Passes publications, such as publication release dates, errata, etc. which we will post on this web page and in the Waggoner e-News. Page xi : Overview Chart 2 - Currents

The black dot for Greene Point Rapids is in the wrong location.

Page xvi under the heading Reading Current Tables

Delete: the last sentence.

Replace with: “You will find the direction of flood in a text box on the map page of every current station.”  

Page xix – Worksheet 2

At the top of column 4 

Delete: “ft / metres” 

Page 103 – Advertisement for Sound Marine

Sound Marine Brokerage and Chandlery is no longer in business.

Page 330 - Secondary Tide Stations

The corrections in the Nanaimo line are actually the corrections for Nanoose Bay, but the latitude and longitude are correct.  


Move: “See pages 282 – 287 for daily predictions at Nanaimo”  to the Nanaimo line. 

Move: the corrections in the Nanaimo line to the Nanoose Bay line.   

Page 330 - Secondary Tide Stations

The corrections in the Comox line are actually the corrections for Denman Island, but the latitude and longitude are correct.  


Move: “See pages 104 - 109 for daily predictions at Comox”  to the Comox line. 

Move: the corrections in the Comox line to the Denman Island line.  

Page 451 - Secondary Current Stations

The Latitudes are missing for all secondary stations referenced to Sergius Narrows.

Page 559 in the table Secondary Current Stations

Move: LW one column to the left. 

Move: HW one column to the left. 

Pages 594, 595 and 596 - Wrangell Narrows Secondary Current Stations

A few secondary stations under Wrangell Narrows that were accidentally missed when the book was reorganized for the 2022 Edition. Even though only a few stations were missing, it required amendments to three separate pages. We have added the missing stations in the replacement pages. 

Page 604 - List of Advertisers

Sound Marine Services is no longer in business, but a new marine store has opened in the same location – Desolation Sound Yacht Services.

Delete: Sound Marine Services - Page  103 

Replace with: Desolation Sound Yacht Services
